Hurricanes- Ryan Y.

Hey mom and dad! I'm having a great time on my vacation in Florida but we have ran into a big problem. The weather forecasters have predicted hurricane warnings all throughout Florida and it's suppose to hit us hard. We might not make it, so I'm just preparing you just in case. Hurricanes are the most destructive storm on earth. They form over large masses of the warm ocean water and they are created by the air mixing with high air pressure which pushes into the low air pressure, then the air becomes moist and rises then cools off, then the water forms clouds, then the clouds grow then the wind starts to spin. The hurricane then is getting fed by the ocean's heat and builds up and keeps building until it reaches land then it begins to die out because the clouds need water to stay moist. Thus without the water the clouds slowly die and the hurricane will virtually be gone. Were hoping the hurricane will die out and won't hit us but their is a possibility that it might have high pressure meaning it will have stronger winds but we hope it will have low pressure so it won't be strong enough to make it on land before it dies out. Most hurricanes are sustained winds of 155mph or higher, the lower the better for us. Most hurricanes are usually 10 degrees Fahrenheit warmer in the eye of the hurricane and the edges of the hurricane are always colder. Bye mom by dad, a big hurricane awaits us and we need to get ready, lets hope for the best!
Sincerely,
Ryan Young
