Day 2 - Tornadoes Josh

Ahhhhh! The tornado is right on top of us. We are all huddled under a table in the center of the basement. The most important thing is to get to shelter. You can't outrun a tornado! Overpasses and bridges are worse though, they are deathtraps. The winds accelerate as they squeeze through the tight space and you shoot out the other end like a rocket. If shelter is unavailable, lie low in a ditch and cover your head and neck. Watch out for flying objects, they can be deadly missles in this wind. Doors and windows are a no-no, stay away from them. To learn more about what to do in a tornado click here. In the Arkansas there is a tornado watch, which means a tornado might form. Here there is a warning, meaning there is a tornado on the move! Outside I can see rain, hail, and lightening. The wind is very strong and there is a loud roar like a train. The ranchers here say it's only a class 3 tornado, but to me it can't get much worse. I'd hate to see a class 5! We have some beef jerky down here, but I'm only eating granola bars...the cows don't like the jerky. Oh boy, I hope it's over soon. Holy...the roof just came off...goodbye world...
